Key Visual and Main Promotional Video

Main PV Brings the Anime Closer to Premiere

The main PV is the anime's largest promotional update since its earlier teaser, arriving alongside a new key visual ahead of the January 2027 broadcast.

The announcement still stops short of giving a specific premiere date, but it substantially expands what is known about the cast and music.

Tokiko Kurose and Sayaka Makiura Join the Cast

Two more characters now have confirmed voice actors. Rikako Ito will play Tokiko Kurose, while Marie Miyake voices Sayaka Makiura.

They join Wataru Kato as Yusuke Takemura and Yuno Azuma as Mitsuki Fujino, bringing the currently announced central cast to four.

RetBear Returns With “No Reaction”

The opening theme is “No Reaction” by RetBear featuring unknown Vo: 0in. RetBear is Kairiki Bear's music project built around different anonymous guest vocalists.

The song marks RetBear's first new release in roughly four years. The ending, “Tsukikage,” will be performed by the performance group Itsuka▶.

A Zombie Protagonist Who Does Not Want to Be a Hero

The story follows Yusuke Takemura, a former office worker who wakes to a world collapsing under a zombie outbreak—only to discover that zombies inexplicably ignore him.

Instead of using that advantage to become a conventional hero, Yusuke acts according to his own desires and interests, giving the series a deliberately different angle from a standard zombie-survival story.

Why This Matters

1) The anime now has its main promotional package

The main PV and key visual provide a much fuller look ahead of January.
