The free demo for InFlood is now available on Steam during Steam Next Fest October 2026. Developed by independent creator Ilya Maslennikov and a small team, the post-apocalyptic open-world RPG places ships at the center of exploration after rising oceans have submerged most of Earth.
Countries, roads, and cities have disappeared beneath the water, leaving mountain peaks, islands, and scattered settlements behind. Players captain a ship across this transformed world, completing quests, trading, recruiting crew members, and upgrading their vessel for the journey ahead.

Trailer, Steam, and InFlood Gameplay

Free Demo Available During Steam Next Fest
InFlood's demo is available while Steam Next Fest October runs from October 19–26, 2026. Windows and macOS players can access the demo without requesting a press key from the developer.
It offers an early look at the game's ship exploration, flooded world, quests, trading, and combat before the full version receives a release date.
Eight Regions Across a Flooded Earth
InFlood takes place after a catastrophe raised sea levels by hundreds of meters. Much of the old world now lies underwater, leaving settlements separated by vast stretches of ocean.
The open world spans eight regions containing cities, ruins, quests, random encounters, different communities, and dangerous areas. Players can choose where to travel and which groups to support as society develops across the remains of the old world.
The Ship Is Both Transportation and Weapon
Ships are more than a way to cross the map. Players can change vessels and install engines, sails, weapons, and defensive modules to prepare for different journeys and battles.
Weather also matters. Wind direction and strength can help or hinder movement, waves can disturb aim, and engines provide more consistent speed at the cost of fuel.
An Independent Project Still in Development
InFlood is being developed by a small independent team led by Ilya Maslennikov. Ilya oversees the overall direction, game design, music, and much of the production, while other team members contribute to writing, programming, and gameplay systems.
The full release remains listed as Coming soon. No final launch date or price has been announced, leaving the current focus on the demo and continued development.
Why This Matters
1) The ship connects the game's major systems
Exploration, progression, trading, upgrades, and combat all revolve around the player's vessel.
2) Its open world is shaped by a transformed Earth
Rather than simply providing an ocean map, InFlood asks what societies might look like after most familiar land has disappeared underwater.
3) Players can test the foundation before launch
Steam Next Fest gives players a free opportunity to experience the indie RPG before its full release receives a date.
