Anime Announcement and Teaser Visual

Saika Kuozaki Leads the Anime's First Major Reveal

The teaser visual makes Saika Kuozaki the adaptation's first major promotional focus, surrounding the strongest witch with magical imagery while emphasizing her calm confidence.

The first cast announcement follows the same direction. Rie Takahashi will voice Saika, while Mushiki Kuga and the remaining characters have not yet received anime cast announcements.

A World Facing Destruction Roughly Every 300 Hours

King Propose takes place in a world threatened with destruction roughly once every 300 hours. Magicians secretly protect civilization by eliminating entities known as Metsubo Inshi.

At the top of that world stands Saika, who also leads the school where magicians train. Her dramatic encounter with a young man begins what the official anime introduction calls the strongest first love capable of saving the world.

The Novel Takes Saika and Mushiki's Identity Further

The official novel synopsis reveals another key element: Mushiki Kuga inherits Saika's body and power and is forced to attend school while living as the legendary witch without exposing his real identity.

Kuroe Karasuma becomes one of the figures guiding him through that situation, allowing the series to combine large-scale magical battles with school life, hidden identity and romance.

Major Anime Production Details Are Still Under Wraps

The 2027 announcement currently confirms the broadcast year, teaser visual and Rie Takahashi as the first cast member.

The animation studio, director, other main staff, Mushiki's voice actor, additional cast, broadcaster, streaming service, theme songs and more precise premiere timing remain unannounced.

Why This Matters

1) The Date A Live creators return with another fantasy romance

Koushi Tachibana and Tsunako once again combine romance, magical battles and strongly defined characters in a different setting.

2) Saika immediately becomes the face of the adaptation

Both the teaser visual and first cast announcement put the strongest witch at the center of the anime's rollout.

3) Mushiki's hidden identity adds another layer

The protagonist does not simply gain Saika's power—he must also live as her while concealing who he really is.
