Morpho Reverie has offered another look at its rhythm gameplay ahead of its free demo, this time showcasing Sakuzyo's “Piano History.” The AD:PIANO X track will be implemented in its complete 9-minute-56-second form rather than being shortened for the game.
The Morpho Reverie demo is scheduled to arrive on Steam on October 15, 2026. Developed by Spectra Motif Studio, the game combines rhythm gameplay with a branching narrative following composer Rein, the disappearance of Keeva, and AI Replicas created to imitate human musicians.

Gameplay, Story Trailer, and Key Visual

“Piano History” Runs for the Full 9 Minutes 56 Seconds
The latest footage shows “Piano History” running through a rhythm chart framed by classical artwork while notes move through the central play area.
More notably, Morpho Reverie is not trimming the piece into a conventional short rhythm-game edit. Its complete 9:56 version will be implemented.
“Piano History” was written by Sakuzyo for AD:PIANO X, the tenth numbered installment of Diverse System's long-running AD:PIANO series. The official album page lists it as the closing track of Disc 3.
Three AD:PIANO Tracks Are Included in the Demo
The Diverse System collaboration extends beyond “Piano History.” Three AD:PIANO tracks have been announced for Morpho Reverie:
- Sakuzyo – Piano History from AD:PIANO X
- Feryquitous – III.追想 from AD:PIANO IX -Alt-
- Juggernaut. – nihil from AD:PIANO VIII -alter-
All three are set to be playable in the free demo. These licensed tracks sit within the game's Performance Mode alongside the large selection of original music created for its narrative.
Rhythm Gameplay Meets the AI Replica Story
Morpho Reverie takes place in 2040. Keeva vanishes during a music competition and is replaced by Keeva-α, an AI Replica made to look exactly like her.
Rein composes music to help other performers challenge their own Replicas. This structure links the visual-novel sections to rhythm performances, while choices and performances influence how the narrative develops.
Five major endings and multiple sub-endings are planned. EASY difficulty and AUTO PLAY also let players prioritize the story if they are less experienced with rhythm games.
More Than 80 Tracks Across Story and Performance Mode
Steam currently lists more than 80 tracks, including over 50 original compositions.
More than 30 original songs can be played in Performance Mode, while over 20 original BGMs support the narrative. Licensed music from BlackY, Feryquitous, Juggernaut., Sakuzyo and other collaborators expands the playable selection further.
The narrative side is also substantial, with more than 6,000 voiced lines, over 100 illustrations and more than 250,000 words of branching story content.
Why This Matters
1) A nearly 10-minute track remains intact
“Piano History” is implemented at its complete 9:56 length rather than being reduced to a short game edit.
2) The AD:PIANO collaboration is playable in the demo
Players will not need to wait for the final release to try tracks from Sakuzyo, Feryquitous and Juggernaut.
3) Rhythm gameplay is tied directly to the narrative
Music and performances are part of the conflict between human performers and AI Replicas, while player decisions influence the story.
