Collaboration Teasers and Key Visuals

Both Official Accounts Posted the Same Collaboration Tease

The reveal came from both sides at nearly the same time. @madoka_magica and @mahoyo_movie each posted the “SPECIAL COLLABORATION” message with the same date and time.

That confirms an official joint project rather than a one-sided promotional reference. The teaser itself, however, deliberately avoids showing enough to establish exactly what form the collaboration will take.

The Collaboration Format Is Still Under Wraps

No characters, products, physical event, campaign details, or complete collaboration artwork have been announced.

It would therefore be premature to describe it as a story crossover, merchandise line, special illustration, or any other specific format. The next confirmed step is simply the October 14 reveal.

Walpurgisnacht Rising Is in Theaters as Mahoyo Approaches Release

The timing places the collaboration between two active theatrical projects. Walpurgisnacht Rising has been playing in Japan since August 28 and remains in its theatrical run in October.

Witch on the Holy Night, meanwhile, is approaching its November 20 Japanese release. The TYPE-MOON adaptation is animated by ufotable and centers on Aoko Aozaki, Alice Kuonji, and Soujuurou Shizuki.

Two Theatrical Anime Built Around Powerful Supernatural Worlds

No story connection between the franchises has been announced. Still, both works prominently use magic, witches and the consequences of supernatural power within very different fictional settings.

That thematic overlap makes the collaboration immediately eye-catching, but any deeper connection should wait for the official reveal.

Why This Matters

1) The announcement comes directly from both projects

Matching teasers from both official accounts establish the collaboration as a formal joint promotion.

Game Ad

Mortal Xiuxian

2) It connects two major 2026 theatrical anime projects

Walpurgisnacht Rising is currently screening while Witch on the Holy Night is approaching its November release.

3) The actual concept remains completely open

The teaser reveals a title and a time, but no characters, merchandise, event, or complete visual.
