Collaboration Key Visual and Login Bonus
Main Event Begins October 22
Riichi City has scheduled the crossover from October 22 at 11:00 JST through November 20 at 23:59 JST.
The collaboration visual places Kakegurui XX characters around the game table, with Yumeko Jabami and Kirari Momobami prominently featured.
Their appearance in the artwork should not yet be treated as confirmation of the complete playable roster. Riichi City has not announced the full character lineup, rarity structure, banners, or recruitment system.
Login Rewards Are Already Live
The pre-event campaign runs from October 12 at 12:00 JST until October 22 at 09:59 JST.
Logging in during the campaign grants cumulative rewards for up to seven days. The campaign artwork shows several in-game currencies and items distributed across those milestones.
Riichi City has also confirmed that players will receive three Mahjong Tickets and 50,000 Owl after the collaboration update.
Kakegurui Fits Riichi City's Competitive Theme
Kakegurui XX takes place at Hyakkaou Private Academy, where social hierarchy is built around gambling and high-risk games.
Riichi City is a competitive riichi mahjong title featuring Ranked Matches, tournaments, anime-style characters, voice acting, cosmetics, and limited events.
The crossover therefore shares a thematic connection through games of risk, reading opponents, and psychological pressure, even though mahjong itself is not the central game of Kakegurui.
Major Collaboration Details Are Still Pending
The October 12 announcements mainly establish the artwork, dates, login campaign, and post-update rewards.
Playable characters, new voice lines, skins, table cosmetics, mahjong items, effects, event story content, and special rules have not yet been fully announced.
Why This Matters
1) The two properties share a natural thematic connection
Both riichi mahjong and Kakegurui revolve around decision-making, risk, and reading an opponent.
2) Players can earn rewards before launch
The seven-login campaign starts ten days before the main crossover.
3) The biggest details remain under wraps
The key visual is public, but playable characters and the core event structure are still being saved for later announcements.
