Anime Teaser PV and Visual

New Information Is Coming on October 3

The latest notice does not explain exactly what will be revealed. The official anime account only marks 2026.10.03 as the date for new information and points viewers toward Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival Online 2026.

The overall event begins at 16:00 JST on ABEMA. No dedicated broadcast time for The Case Files of Biblia Bookstore has been publicly specified.

That means details such as a precise premiere date, additional cast, a new PV, theme songs or distribution should not be assumed before the official announcement.

CloverWorks Brings Shioriko and Daisuke to TV Anime

The adaptation was first announced in April 2026 with Mamoru Kanbe directing and CloverWorks producing the animation.

Riko Akechi voices Shioriko Shinokawa, the painfully shy owner of an antiquarian bookshop who becomes remarkably articulate when discussing books.

Shunsuke Takeuchi voices Daisuke Goura, a young man with a complicated relationship with reading. His encounter with Shioriko draws him into mysteries hidden in ownership records, inscriptions, editions and the histories of old books.

A Mystery Series Built Around Real Books

The original series began publication in 2011 and has surpassed 8.5 million copies in cumulative circulation.

Rather than building every case around murder, Biblia frequently treats the physical traces left on books—handwriting, editions, provenance, condition and ownership—as clues to human secrets.

Kamakura and Biblia Antiquarian Bookshop form the story's central stage, giving the upcoming anime a very different identity from more conventional crime-focused mystery series.

Major Anime Details Remain Unannounced

The April reveal established the main production staff, two lead cast members, teaser visual and 2027 release year.

Before the October 3 update, however, there is still no exact premiere date, broadcaster, streaming service, episode count, additional cast or theme-song information.

The next reveal will therefore be the anime's first major update since its initial announcement.

Why This Matters

1) It is the first major update since April

Most confirmed anime information still comes from the original April 2026 announcement.

2) CloverWorks is adapting an unusual kind of mystery

Old books, their owners and the secrets surrounding them matter more than conventional large-scale crime cases.

3) The original series now has a 15-year history

The anime arrives after more than 8.5 million copies in circulation and multiple live-action adaptations.

4) Many production details are still open

Premiere timing, additional cast, theme songs and distribution have yet to be announced.
