Honkai Impact 3rd Changes the Gameplay Itself
The scope of the crossover stands out because Honkai Impact 3rd is not being restricted to cosmetic items. Multiplayer receives an entirely new top-down roguelike shooter mode that significantly changes the usual COD Mobile perspective.
Teams of up to three players fight through waves of monsters before reaching a final boss. Three maps offer different difficulty levels, while Elite Chests provide Weapon Traits, Stigmata and Chips that shape a different upgrade build from run to run.
Knocked teammates can be revived, and players looking for a longer challenge can enter Endless mode against increasingly difficult waves while searching for hidden levels and enemies.
Quantum Platform Appears in Battle Royale Isolated
Battle Royale receives its own limited-time location through the Quantum Platform event on Isolated.
Squads first have to locate and complete a special contract. Completing it reveals a teleporter, which must then be defended while it charges.
The portal takes surviving players to the Quantum Platform, where they fight Honkai Impact 3rd-inspired enemies and search for high-quality loot and collaboration items before returning to the main Isolated map.
One of Three Mythic Weapons Can Be Earned Free
One of the crossover's biggest additions is the Honkai Impact 3rd: Free Mythic Event.
Players complete weekly missions while choosing one target reward: ISO Hemlock - Core of Thunder, Static-HV - Core of Fire, or BAL-27 - Core of Reason. The selected target can be changed before the event is completed and the final prize is claimed.
Activision notes that this is a long-term event spanning multiple seasons and requiring several weeks of progression, including harder challenges.
The same three weapons also headline the Honkai Mythic Weapons Series Armory, the first Mythic Series Armory introduced in Call of Duty: Mobile.
Three Operators Draw From Herrscher Forms
The premium side of the crossover features three separate Draws built around Fire, Ice and Thunder themes, each pairing a COD Mobile Operator with Honkai Impact 3rd-inspired styling.
Rin Yoshida - Herrscher of Thunder is paired with Katana - Domain of Sanction. Siren - Herrscher of Flamescion comes with Nail Gun - Domain of Incandescence, while Kestrel - Herrscher of Reason receives FHJ - Domain of Revelation.
The Legendary Operators also feature floating mechanical and elemental elements. Collecting all three can unlock additional collection rewards under the event's conditions.
Rita Rossweisse Leads the Free Themed Rewards
Players who do not pursue all three premium Draws still have a Honkai-themed progression path through the seasonal event.
Rewards include Scylla - Rita Rossweisse, Scythe - Aphrodite Scythe, Camo - Rosette Runners and a Predator Missile reskin. Progress comes from normal matches and interaction with Season 8 content.
The collaboration also adds story material, a collection space, character encyclopedia, dormitory lobby and social features.
A separate Legendary Secret Cache weapon, Grau 5.56 - Rita's Rose, expands the Rita-themed reward lineup.
Against All Fate Also Adds New Seasonal Weapons
Outside the crossover, Season 8 continues COD Mobile's usual Battle Pass and Challenge Pass progression.
The free Battle Pass tiers introduce the ISO Hemlock, an Assault Rifle positioned for mid-range combat with high damage and manageable recoil. Premium rewards include Keegan - Field Medic, Manta Ray - Mech Framewright, Cipher - Mech Pilot and Corso - Plated Rogue.
The Challenge Pass provides the Static-HV, a high-fire-rate SMG equipped with a 50-round magazine. Season 8 also introduces Dingo - Diamond Oracle as its Prestige Weapon and adds The Nightmare and Shadow Operatives to the Battle Pass Vault.
