STAYRESIDENT has officially introduced Fenestra: my focus, her future, a PC title combining a focus companion with a Princess Maker-style raising adventure. Its Steam page and Announcement Trailer went live on September 2, 2026, with wishlisting now open.

Players work alongside Fenestra, a mysterious girl who suddenly appears inside focus-support software knowing only her own name. Your Real Work Becomes Fenestra's Growth

Fenestra's core idea differs from a conventional raising game where players repeat in-game actions solely to increase stats. Here, time genuinely spent working in real life drives character development.

Before starting a session, players decide what Fenestra will work on and which ability they want to nurture. Once the Pomodoro timer begins, she sits at her own desk inside the PC and works alongside the player.

That focus time feeds three key stats: Intelligence, Sensitivity and Morality. The game is therefore designed to progress alongside studying, professional work or creative projects rather than compete with them for time.

One Fenestra Can Develop Into Nine Personalities

Fenestra's development is not determined solely by numerical stats. How the player treats her is another part of the raising system.

She can be approached as an equal partner, someone who needs protection, or someone considered especially important. The combination of that relationship and the abilities being raised leads to nine personality paths.

Official material gives examples ranging from a sincere girl who stays close to the player and an endlessly cheerful personality to a downer type, clingy sweetheart, tsundere and solitary goddess. Her appearance changes as well, so these paths extend beyond dialogue alone.

More Than 120,000 Characters and 20 Endings

STAYRESIDENT is preparing a scenario exceeding 120,000 Japanese characters, planned to be fully voiced.

The scenario is written by Keisuke Makino, known in part as the original author of Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut. The story begins with Fenestra knowing nothing about the human world, emotions or even her own identity beyond her name.

The player's words and the way she is raised influence their relationship, the narrative and the future she reaches. A total of 20 endings are planned, including both more hopeful and darker outcomes.

Pomodoro Is More Than a Story Gimmick

Although focus time is integrated into the raising mechanics, Fenestra is also built to function as an actual productivity companion.

The Pomodoro Timer lets users customize focus and break lengths. The To-Do List supports deadlines, completion checks and task reordering, while the Weekly Habit Tracker records routines by day and tracks completion.

The game can also notify the player through a subwindow when a break begins, reducing the need to keep its main window open throughout a work session.

More Than 50 Tracks and an Ambient Sound Mixer

The audio side is designed for extended focus sessions. The game plans to include more than 50 kawaii and chill electronic tracks through its BGM player.

An Ambient Sound Mixer lets users combine several environmental sounds while adjusting each one's volume independently.

Vocaloid producer adomiori is creating 10 new tracks for the project, including the music used in the Announcement Trailer. A dedicated theme song is also in production, although its title and final details remain unannounced.

STAYRESIDENT Handles Development and Publishing

Fenestra comes from new indie-game label STAYRESIDENT, which is serving as both developer and publisher.

The announced production team includes Keisuke Makino on scenario, ANU as Art Director, adomiori on music, and additional creators responsible for character design, motion acting, engineering and the title logo.

Steam currently lists the game simply as Coming Soon, meaning neither the launch date nor price has been confirmed. Wishlisting has been available since the page opened on September 2.

Why This Matters

1) Grinding is replaced with real productivity

The player's own work time fuels Fenestra's growth, reducing the divide between game progress and productive activity.

2) The raising system affects far more than stats

Abilities, relationship choices and dialogue can reshape Fenestra's personality, appearance, bond with the player, story and ending.

3) Its productivity tools are designed for real use

Pomodoro, To-Do, habit tracking, BGM and ambient audio give the software practical value while the player works.

4) The narrative scope is unusually large for a focus companion

A fully voiced scenario of more than 120,000 characters, nine personality paths and 20 endings makes the story a substantial part of the project.
