Announcement, Second Teaser PV, and Footage

Noitamina Broadcast Begins October 9
Firefly Wedding will begin airing on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:30 p.m. JST. That corresponds to 9:30 p.m. WIB, 10:30 p.m. WITA, and 11:30 p.m. WIT on the same date in Indonesia.
The series will be broadcast through Fuji TV's Noitamina block. International streaming services and an official platform for Indonesia have not yet been listed.
Two additional cast members were also announced. Kento Ito voices Kōtarō Ogawa, Satoko's childhood friend and bodyguard, who supports her ambition to marry and protect the Kirigaya family.
Kenjiro Tsuda plays Mitsueda, a yakuza figure on Tennyoto Island who accepts an order to abduct Satoko. Although he is prepared to use ruthless methods for money, his character profile also describes him as having a compassionate side.
Second Teaser Takes Satoko to Tennyoto Island
The second teaser follows Satoko as Shinpei brings her to Tennyoto Island, an isolated location that becomes central to the story's early conflict.
To search for a safe route off the island, Satoko must place herself within its entertainment district. Shinpei, meanwhile, continues to insist that protecting Satoko is his responsibility.
Kōtarō and Mitsueda also appear in the video, suggesting that Satoko's family obligations, her former bodyguard, and the criminal forces operating on Tennyoto will soon collide. The teaser closes with Satoko declaring that she will continue resisting her fate until her life burns out.
Yumegokochi Selected as the Ending Theme
The anime's ending theme is “Yumegokochi”, written by TOOBOE specifically for Firefly Wedding.
TOOBOE explained that the song approaches the story through the depths of Shinpei's heart and the changes brought about by Satoko's presence. That perspective fits a relationship shaped by devotion, dependence, jealousy, violence, and the constant possibility of death.
The portion heard in the teaser brings a quieter tone to footage filled with danger and emotional pressure. A digital release date and an official Spotify link have not yet been announced.
A Marriage Contract Between a Noblewoman and an Assassin
Firefly Wedding is set during Japan's Meiji era and follows Satoko Kirigaya, the daughter of a noble family who has been told that she may not have long to live.
Satoko hopes to marry into another respected family, make her father proud, and preserve the Kirigaya household. Those plans collapse when she is abducted and confronted by Shinpei Goto, an assassin ordered to kill her.
With no other apparent way to survive, Satoko proposes marriage. Shinpei accepts her desperate lie as a genuine bond, beginning a romantic suspense story in which protection, obsession, affection, and danger are nearly impossible to separate.
Why This Matters
1) The anime now has a confirmed premiere date
The new announcement replaces the broader October 2026 window with an exact date and broadcast time, moving the campaign into its final pre-premiere stage.
2) The teaser begins establishing the Tennyoto conflict
Rather than repeating only the marriage proposal, the video introduces the island, Satoko's new position, and the characters who will drive its larger conflict.
3) Kōtarō and Mitsueda create different kinds of pressure
Kōtarō is connected to Satoko's former life and family, while Mitsueda represents the criminal structure of Tennyoto. Their arrival expands the story beyond Satoko and Shinpei's unstable relationship.
4) The ending theme reflects Shinpei's emotional perspective
Yumegokochi was not presented as a generic closing song. TOOBOE wrote it around what Shinpei loses and gains after Satoko enters his life.
