Haimiya Is Scary Cute Volume 4 Mini Photo Card
Mini Photo Bonus Features Haimiya-senpai in a Maid Outfit
The official Haimiya Is Scary Cute account has revealed a mini photo-style card offered as a purchase bonus at bookstores participating in the release fair.
The illustration depicts Haimiya-senpai wearing a white maid headdress, with silver-gray hair and blue eyes. Her slightly embarrassed expression contrasts with a background decorated with blue hearts and stars.
The card is a promotional purchase bonus rather than a separately announced retail product. Readers interested in obtaining it should check Square Enix's information about participating bookstores and their purchase requirements.
Volume 4 Arrives in Two Editions
Haimiya Is Scary Cute Volume 4 is scheduled for November 6, 2026, with two editions available.
The regular edition costs ¥792, while the special edition is priced at ¥1,518. Both are published by Square Enix and feature different cover illustrations.
The special edition includes a 44-page full-color booklet featuring more than 45 illustrations. These include newly drawn artwork by Sumu Kamiyama and illustrations not previously collected in the manga volumes.
The booklet showcases Haimiya-senpai in various outfits, including school uniforms and casual streetwear.
Kurose and the Senior Everyone Finds Intimidating
Haimiya Is Scary Cute follows Kurose, a high school student who becomes acquainted with an older female student known as Haimiya-senpai.
At school, Haimiya-senpai has a frightening reputation because of her striking appearance, gray wolf-cut hairstyle, numerous piercings, and assertive Kansai dialect.
However, Kurose discovers that she treats him kindly. As they spend more time together, he begins recognizing a gentle and unexpectedly adorable side that many other students overlook.
Previous story developments have brought them closer through everyday school activities. The involvement of Koyuki Shiu and preparations for the school festival introduce further complications, including Haimiya-senpai having to wear a maid outfit.
Sumu Kamiyama Autograph Event Scheduled for December
Alongside the bookstore bonuses, Square Enix has announced a live drawing and autograph event featuring Sumu Kamiyama to celebrate Volume 4.
The event takes place on December 12, 2026, at animate hall WHITE, on the ninth floor of Animate Ikebukuro in Tokyo.
The live drawing begins at 11:30 AM, while the two autograph sessions are scheduled for 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM Japan time.
Readers who meet the preorder or purchase requirements for Volume 4 through Animate can receive a lottery application code. Applications remain open until November 16, with the results expected in late November.
This event is separate from the mini photo-style card bonus offered at participating fair bookstores.
Why This Matters
1) The bonus highlights Haimiya-senpai's softer side
Her embarrassed expression and maid outfit emphasize the contrast between her intimidating reputation and her more affectionate personality.
2) The special edition expands the artwork collection
The full-color booklet provides additional appeal for fans who want to collect Sumu Kamiyama's illustrations beyond the main manga.
3) The release includes opportunities for fan participation
Purchase bonuses and the autograph event give readers more ways to celebrate the new volume beyond simply buying the book.
