First Teaser PV and Visual

From a Toxic Company to an Assassination Agency
Kanako Nishino leaves her old job after the workplace drains her physically and mentally. Her next job hunt leads to an interview that turns out to be for a company specializing in contract killing.
Strangely, the conditions are far healthier: a 600,000-yen starting salary, weekends and national holidays off, plus full benefits. Kanako accepts the job, and an ability she never knew she possessed begins to flourish.
Creator Toshiya Wakabayashi responded enthusiastically to the adaptation, emphasizing the energy of the experienced creators making the anime and expressing hope that the excitement inside the production reaches viewers as well.

Shinji Takamatsu Directs and Writes the Anime
Shinji Takamatsu serves as both director and script writer. In his comment, he highlighted how a story about assassins can still connect with the familiar feeling of wondering whether one really wants to go to work again tomorrow.
Kanako escapes an unreasonable everyday life and gradually discovers what she can do and where she can feel comfortable being herself. Takamatsu intends to preserve that quality while respecting the original manga.

Hana Tsumugi Leads the Cast as Kanako
Hana Tsumugi voices Kanako Nishino, marking her first lead role. She was already familiar with the original manga before joining the production and has spoken positively about bringing its fast pacing and comedy into animation.
Tsumugi also performs several of the animal voices representing Kanako's internal reactions, including the series' recurring wordplay built around animals.

Ryota Suzuki Plays Sakurai, Junichi Suwabe Voices the President
Ryota Suzuki voices Sakurai, Kanako's highly skilled but exceptionally unfriendly senior coworker whose trademark line is “korosu zo.” Suzuki was already a fan of Wakabayashi's Tsurezure Children and welcomed the opportunity to work on another of the creator's series.
He described the challenge as keeping Sakurai cool while the characters around him push the comedy much harder.

Junichi Suwabe, meanwhile, voices the President, the head of Kanako's workplace. Despite the dangerous nature of the organization, he is described as someone who protects a comfortable environment where his employees can work with peace of mind.
Suwabe also pointed to the contrast between the series' pop visual style and its violent-sounding title, stressing that audiences should remember this is fundamentally a comedy.

Kanako Resume Promotion at Machi Asobi Vol.31
The anime's early promotion also includes an original Kanako resume distributed at Seikaisha's booth during Machi Asobi Vol.31 on October 17–18, 2026.
The novelty item is designed like a real job application and can be filled in, directly playing into the career-change theme at the center of Kanako's story.

Why This Matters
1) The workplace premise deliberately reverses expectations
Kanako's profession is extreme, but the assassin company treats its employees far better than her previous legal workplace did.
2) The manga's comedy remains central
Staff and cast comments indicate that the fast pacing, animal jokes and absurd contrast between office life and killing remain important to the adaptation.
3) The first cast already establishes the core workplace trio
Hana Tsumugi, Ryota Suzuki and Junichi Suwabe fill the three positions at the heart of Kanako's early working life.
4) The anime follows the franchise's live-action expansion
The TV anime becomes the next major adaptation after the manga's English publication and DMM TV live-action series.
