RE:VERSE Becomes the Official Name of the Revival

Masangsoft had continued using KING'S RAID as the working public identity throughout the redevelopment and testing period. The revival now has its final name: KING'S RAID RE:VERSE.

According to the development team, RE:VERSE is not simply a reboot marker. It represents the intention to reconnect the world and story of King's Raid and then continue the journey beyond them.

The project is therefore not being positioned as a complete replacement for the original. Continuity with the existing world and characters remains central to its development direction.

The Original Foundation Returns With a Reworked Play Experience

KING'S RAID RE:VERSE retains the previous game's world, characters, story and core gameplay. Real-time battles still revolve around reading the flow of combat, timing skills and combining heroes with complementary roles.

Masangsoft is also conducting balance adjustments and improving player convenience. The stated goal is to create a more comfortable overall play environment without removing the identity that defined King's Raid.

The current Steam page additionally highlights selectable hero acquisition without random hero gacha, character costumes, cooperative raids, PvP and party-based strategy.

The Main Story Is Now Fully Voiced in Japanese

One of the largest upgrades for the Japanese version concerns voice implementation.

In the previous game, Japanese character voices were primarily heard during combat and certain enhancement sequences. In KING'S RAID RE:VERSE, every conversation scene in the main story will receive Japanese voice acting.

Masangsoft has also confirmed that many members of the original Japanese cast will return in the same roles. Specific actors and character assignments will be announced gradually through official channels.

May's General Shop Comes to TGS 2026

KING'S RAID RE:VERSE will operate a dedicated booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026, taking place from September 17 through September 21 at Makuhari Messe.

Booth 01-C06 in Hall 1 is inspired by May's General Shop from the game. Masangsoft plans to recreate its atmosphere through an antique café-style space featuring King's Raid characters, world elements and photo spots.

The booth is intended both as a reunion point for returning players and as an introduction for visitors encountering RE:VERSE for the first time. More activity details will be revealed later.

Steam Remains Coming Soon Alongside iOS and Android

Masangsoft has confirmed iOS, Android and Steam as the target platforms. The revival has already undergone two multiplatform testing phases during 2026.

Steam App ID 3689540 is currently available for wishlisting. At the time checked, its store page still displays Coming Soon and retains the KING's RAID header even though Masangsoft has officially renamed the project KING'S RAID RE:VERSE.

Two CBTs Have Already Tested the Multiplatform Build

The first global CBT ran from January 29 to February 4, 2026 across Steam, Android and iOS, focusing on system stability, client performance and providing a comparable experience on PC and mobile.

A second CBT followed from April 7 to April 24, 2026. Masangsoft expanded the test to 31 characters, opened the story through Chapter 6, added more battle content and introduced a remastered UI based on feedback from the first test.

Completing those testing phases does not mean a final release date has been set. Masangsoft still describes the game as being prepared for its service relaunch.
