The Mystery Partner Was Kuzuha
On September 2, PUBG MOBILE JAPAN released a teaser that represented the new collaborator simply as ██. At the time, the only major details were the September 9 start date and the promise of completely original skins and items.
The September 4 announcement finally connects that teaser to Kuzuha. The collaboration artwork has also begun to surface, shifting the campaign from a mystery reveal toward the design Kuzuha is bringing into PUBG MOBILE.
Kuzuha Designed the Collaboration Outfit
The clearest distinction of this collaboration is Kuzuha's involvement in the outfit skin design. PUBG MOBILE JAPAN explicitly describes the costume as an outfit designed by Kuzuha.
A voice card is also confirmed, along with additional collaboration-limited items. Their names, appearances, rarities and total number have not yet been fully disclosed.
There is also no official information yet on UC pricing, crates, exchange shops, event rewards or other acquisition methods. The mechanics used for the 2025 collaboration therefore should not be assumed to return unchanged.

Kuzuha Previously Appeared With Kanae in 2025
September 2026 will not be Kuzuha's first appearance in PUBG MOBILE. From December 1–31, 2025, the game ran an official collaboration with fellow NIJISANJI VTubers Kanae and Kuzuha.
That event included a Kuzuha Set, Kuzuha voice cards, joint Kanae and Kuzuha voice cards, sprays, mini-character icons and other items. Some rewards were distributed through crates and exchange coins, while others were available through in-game events.
The 2026 project is a separate campaign, however, and one already confirmed difference is the new outfit being designed directly by Kuzuha.
It Starts on Version 4.6.0 Update Day
The collaboration's September 9 launch date also happens to be the date scheduled for PUBG MOBILE Japan's Version 4.6.0 update.
The update introduces the Midnight Hunters theme mode and a portable rubber boat, while Royale Pass A21 follows on September 12. PUBG MOBILE also states that no maintenance is planned for the update.
However, the Version 4.6.0 notice does not list the Kuzuha collaboration as part of the patch. Their shared date should therefore not be treated as confirmation that the collaboration is technically bundled into Version 4.6.0.
