NTE: Neverness to Everness has begun its full promotional rollout for Linko (リンコ) ahead of her arrival on the limited board during the second half of Version 1.3. The Japanese official account has released a combat showcase, archive feature, profile, first-contact clip, combat-system breakdown, daily-life material and a reveal for her Spring Memoria costume.
Linko is an S-rank Anima character from E.T.D Unit 6 who fights alongside her anomaly partner, Sada-chan. Their relationship extends directly into gameplay: synchronization attacks, quick swaps, off-field pressure and a synchronization-based exploration ability all form major parts of her kit.

Linko Gameplay, Combat System and Spring Memoria

Linko Arrives in Version 1.3's Second Half on September 9
One point needs to be separated clearly in the latest promotional material: Version 1.3 is already live, while Linko is not yet on her limited board.
Version 1.3, Rising from the Moonlit Fog, opened after maintenance on August 19, 2026. The repeated “Version 1.3 is now live” wording in Linko's current promotional posts therefore refers to the overall update rather than Linko already being obtainable.
Linko belongs to the second half of Version 1.3. Her limited board, 全帯域ローミング中, opens after the September 9 update and remains available until September 30 at 6:59 AM JST.
As of September 6, players are therefore still a few days away from her official availability. The current videos, profiles and costume material serve as the lead-in to that debut.
Sada-chan and Synchronization Attacks Define Her Gameplay
Linko does not fight alone. Since the Version 1.3 preview, Sada-chan has been presented as a direct part of her combat identity.
Linko specializes in wide-area attacks and quick swapping, while calling on Sada-chan or party members to perform synchronization attacks. Their damage is treated as additional attack damage, with the attribute determined by the participant triggering the synchronization. A synchronization attack with Sada-chan deals Anima damage.
Linko's normal attacks also build a resource called Harmonics. That resource can then be consumed through her skill to strengthen synchronization attacks, giving her rotation more structure than simply entering the field, dealing damage and leaving.
Her quick-swap identity becomes more apparent when she moves off-field. Sada-chan can launch an ambush and establish a condition that later lets Linko return through a synchronization follow-up after the active character satisfies its trigger.
Linko's EX finisher expands that synchronization concept to the team. She can connect with up to three party members, trigger a sequence of as many as three synchronization attacks, and finish with additional area damage.
The Frequency Motif Connects Linko's Story and Abilities
Linko has been built around the concept of signals and frequencies from her earliest character material.
Her Hethereau Archive introduction uses the short line “電波……届いた?”, while her First Contact material says “君の電波、受信したよ”. Her profile also introduces her as a member of E.T.D Unit 6 currently carrying out a “mission” to take the Appraiser out for some fun.
The frequency theme is more than personality flavor. The Version 1.3 preview explains that Linko can detect the “frequencies” of people, anomalies and objects, then tune her own frequency to another target for synchronization.
That idea is translated directly into battle, where Linko synchronizes with Sada-chan and other party members to generate coordinated attacks.
Exploration uses the concept as well. By synchronizing with Sada-chan, Linko can perform Pop, launching herself upward before continuing through the air in a glide-like movement. Her core ability therefore remains recognizable both in combat and while moving around Hethereau.
Spring Memoria Shows Another Side of Linko
On September 6, the Japanese official account revealed Spring Memoria / スプリング・メモリア.
The costume gives Linko a more polished uniform-inspired look while retaining the colors, accessories and street-tech touches associated with her default design. Its official promotional text describes her moving lightly while choosing routes that do not always follow the original plan.
Spring Memoria had previously been introduced in the Version 1.3 preview as a store-purchase costume. The latest reveal post does not state a specific price, so no currency amount is being assumed here before the relevant shop information is formally published.
Two additional costumes were also previewed for Linko: Weekend Mode / 休日モード, associated with Bond Level 10, and Astro Diver / アストロ・ダイバー, associated with her limited board or its related skin-gift event.
Together, the three looks give Linko multiple visual options from the beginning of her playable period rather than leaving her with only the default costume.
From Archive and Profile to Combat Lesson and Daily Life
NTE has introduced Linko in stages rather than relying on a single trailer.
On September 4, the official Japanese account published her Hethereau Archive and Character Combat Showcase. The following rollout added a Character Profile, First Contact, and Containment Lesson, moving from personality material into a clearer explanation of how she fights.
A later daily-life post shows another side of Linko as she proudly calls herself one of the top five Tamachi Masters in Hethereau. She initially claims to be one step away from completing the collection before admitting that alternate colors and secret variants leave her several steps short.
That detail helps separate her characterization from her combat role. Linko is not being introduced only as an Anima unit built around synchronized follow-ups; she is also an expressive Unit 6 member with a collecting hobby and a comedic dynamic with Sada-chan.
Spring Memoria now serves as another piece of the rollout, completing the current combination of profile, gameplay, everyday-character material and costume promotion ahead of September 9.
NTE Is Already Live, With Steam as One of Its PC Platforms
NTE: Neverness to Everness began its official service on April 29, 2026.
Developed by Hotta Studio, the supernatural urban open-world RPG places players in Hethereau as an unlicensed Anomaly Hunter, combining city exploration, combat, vehicles, social activities, property ownership and various side activities.
The Steam version followed on July 7, 2026 as a free-to-play release. Its store page lists single-player, online co-op and in-app purchases, along with support for nine languages.
Japanese and English both include full audio. Simplified Chinese and Korean also include full voice support on Steam, while Indonesian is not currently listed.
Linko's September 9 arrival therefore extends an already-running live-service game rather than marking a new game launch, with her synchronization mechanics becoming one of the defining additions of Version 1.3's second half.
Why This Matters
1) Sada-chan is more than a mascot companion
Linko's partner directly participates in attacks, off-field pressure, synchronization mechanics and exploration.
2) Quick swapping is built into her identity
Linko can continue contributing while not directly controlled, then return through synchronized follow-up attacks when specific conditions are met.
3) Her narrative concept and mechanics reinforce one another
Signals and frequencies are not just dialogue flavor; they become the basis for how Linko connects with Sada-chan and the rest of the party.
4) NTE is giving her a full pre-release rollout
Rather than releasing only one PV, the game has spread Linko's introduction across archive, profile, first-contact, combat-lesson, daily-life and costume material before September 9.

Version 1.3 itself has been live since August 19, so the next update represents a transition into Linko's phase rather than a new version launch. Spring Memoria's specific price and the final shop details for her release period remain to be officially detailed.
