Pearl in Blue has officially announced Hiyori Nitta (新田ひより) as the Japanese voice of Yotsuba (ヨツバ). The casting announcement was published through the game's official account on September 10, 2026, once again highlighting the youngest Dark Night member with dialogue that emphasizes her easily flustered personality.

Yotsuba had previously been introduced as Dark Night's “cuteness” member. She is extremely shy and withdrawn, to the point of freezing when someone continues looking directly at her. The voice reveal arrives as Netmarble ramps up promotion for Pearl in Blue ahead of its playable Tokyo Game Show 2026 appearance.

Hiyori Nitta Is Officially the Voice of Yotsuba

The latest announcement directly confirms Hiyori Nitta as Yotsuba's Japanese voice actor.

The official post returns to dialogue already closely associated with the character: Yotsuba panics when she is stared at for too long and struggles to understand what is happening as her nervousness takes over.

That choice of dialogue reinforces the way Pearl in Blue presents her. Yotsuba is not a Dark Night member who thrives on direct attention; she is someone who finds even sustained eye contact overwhelming.

Nitta is represented by Arts Vision. Her official agency profile lists roles including Machikane Fukukitaru in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Satohama Umika in Blue Archive, and Domyoji Karin in The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls.

The announcement now gives Yotsuba a confirmed Japanese voice identity before players get their first broader opportunity to try the game publicly at TGS.

Yotsuba Is Dark Night's Extremely Shy Youngest Member

Yotsuba did not debut through this casting announcement.

Her earlier character introduction described her as the “cuteness” member and youngest girl in Dark Night.

Her defining personality trait is almost the opposite of the public-facing world surrounding Knights. Yotsuba is extremely shy, tends to withdraw from other people, and can effectively freeze simply from being stared at.

Dark Night currently consists of four introduced members: Ichiha, Nika, Miho and Yotsuba.

Ichiha serves as the energetic leader, Nika is positioned as the ace, Miho is the calm sniper, and Yotsuba fills the role of the group's timid youngest member.

Even the name “Dark Night” is part of the group's comedy. Official lore says the name exists because Ichiha accidentally wrote “Night” instead of “Knight” when submitting the group name.

Being a Knight Means Fighting and Living as an Influencer

Yotsuba's shyness becomes more interesting when placed inside Pearl in Blue's world structure.

A Knight is not merely a fighter. Knights are modern heroes who wield Pearl Light while also operating publicly as influencers.

Official world-building says their work can include streaming, social media, events, advertising and merchandise activities.

The player acts as a manager, meaning the role extends beyond assembling a battle squad. Managers also handle the heroines' public activities while supporting their wishes, problems and personal development.

That creates an obvious tension for Yotsuba: someone who struggles simply with being watched exists inside a profession built partly around visibility and public attention.

Netmarble has not yet detailed exactly how that personality conflict will develop through Yotsuba's personal story or relationship progression.

Pearl and Pearl Light Form the Core of the Setting

The official teaser PV released on August 14 introduces two of Pearl in Blue's most important concepts: Pearl and Knight.

A Pearl is described as the seed of a person's desire. It grows through pain, hardship and adversity experienced by its owner.

When it finally “blooms,” that desire can manifest as a substance known as Pearl Light.

Pearl Light does not have a universal form. Its manifestation depends on what the individual desires and can take the form of a weapon used by a Knight.

Heroines who have not yet managed to bloom their Pearls are called Karappo (殻っぽ). The player, acting as their manager, supports those girls while learning about their wishes and problems.

The teaser PV is also currently the clearest official video material showing the heroines' 3D presentation and Pearl Light becoming part of the game's action.

Monthly Romantic Comedy Defines Its Heroine Relationships

Pearl in Blue is not being marketed simply as an RPG.

Since its initial announcement, Netmarble has used the concept of a “monthly romantic comedy,” built around regularly meeting new heroines and experiencing stories designed to evoke the feeling of being the protagonist of a romantic-comedy anime.

Netmarble's global description calls it a story-driven collectible RPG centered on emotional connections with girls.

The game combines squad-building with 2D anime-inspired cinematic sequences, while its Knights also function as influencers inside the setting.

Exactly how the “monthly” structure will work after launch remains unknown—for example, whether every newly introduced heroine will be playable, how story episodes will be divided or how relationship content will unlock.

Because development is ongoing, monetization details beyond the confirmed free-to-play model and in-app purchases also remain limited.

A Playable Demo Is Coming to Tokyo Game Show 2026

Yotsuba's casting announcement arrives only around a week before Tokyo Game Show 2026.

Netmarble has confirmed Pearl in Blue as one of three upcoming games in its lineup alongside Solo Leveling: KARMA and Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi.

TGS 2026 runs from September 17 through September 21, 2026 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

Pearl in Blue visitors will be able to try a playable demo featuring an early portion of the game. Netmarble is also preparing a themed booth and other on-site activities.

The game's dedicated TGS site has announced novelty items including original stickers, clear cards, a memorial film roll, a lenticular card for demo players and a merchandise lottery.

That showcase is significant because much of Pearl in Blue's early rollout has so far taken place through character cards, world-building posts and teaser footage rather than hands-on public access.

Netmarble Targets 2027, but No Specific Release Date Exists Yet

When Pearl in Blue was first announced in July 2026, Japanese consumer-facing material still described its release timing as undecided.

Netmarble's corporate information later narrowed that window.

In its Q2 2026 financial results published on August 5, the company described Pearl in Blue as currently in development with an official launch slated for 2027.

That makes 2027 the latest official launch window given by Netmarble.

No specific date, month or quarter has been announced, however. The Japanese website also does not currently provide a public preorder or preregistration page.

No verified Google Play or App Store product page is available yet either, so this article does not insert an unverified store embed or store link.

Why This Matters

1) Yotsuba now has a confirmed voice identity

Hiyori Nitta gives one of Dark Night's central heroines an identifiable voice ahead of the game's public demo showcase.

2) Yotsuba's personality clashes with the Knight profession

She is deeply shy, while Knights in Pearl in Blue are expected to live partly as public-facing influencers, creating a natural character-development hook.

3) The reveal comes directly ahead of hands-on access

TGS 2026 will provide a much clearer look at how character interaction, squad-building and gameplay fit together.

4) The casting rollout is helping define Dark Night before launch

Netmarble is gradually building the group's identity through profiles, lore, video material and voice announcements ahead of the targeted 2027 release.

Closing

Pearl in Blue has now confirmed Hiyori Nitta as Yotsuba's voice, adding another piece of identity to the shy Dark Night member previously introduced primarily through illustrations, dialogue and character profiles. Her social anxiety also creates an interesting contrast with the Knight profession's highly public influencer side.

The game remains in development for iOS and Android with a targeted 2027 launch. A specific date, preregistration and store pages remain unannounced, while the next major opportunity to see it in action will come through its playable Tokyo Game Show 2026 demo on September 17–21.
