Four New Characters Bring Distinct Combat Systems

Version 1.2 does more than increase the roster count. Its four original additions are built around different resources and combat systems.

Barrier Angel Selene focuses on true damage while retaining support functionality. She can also recover HP, giving her a way to remain active during longer battles instead of functioning purely as a damage-focused character.

Breakth. Ermia revolves around applying wax seals to cards. These can provide effects such as bonus damage or temporary Origin, while her passive increases the maximum Origin limit. Different seal combinations therefore give her considerable build flexibility.

Shining Idol Amelia uses a resource called Popularity, which can persist into the next battle. She spends it on a skill without a cooldown and switches between Elegy and Hymn effects depending on the situation, allowing her to contribute damage while strengthening the team.

Descending Angel Mostin gains Enlightenment by playing Burned Cards and can accumulate large amounts of Judgment. Her passive also includes survival support designed to make the early stages of battle more stable.

Ruu Joins as a Playable Dawn Dew Crossover Character

The fifth character is different because she originates from another game.

Realm Traveler Ruu, the protagonist of Journey of Realm: Dawn Dew, joins Witch's Apocalyptic Journey as a playable crossover character. Official Dawn Dew materials also refer to the protagonist as Dew / 露.

Her Witch's Apocalyptic Journey incarnation revolves around Heart Flow. Ruu builds stacks through her actions during battle and can then spend those stacks through her active skill to gain Action Cards.
