Wuthering Waves Version 3.6 Launches August 20 with Qingxiao and Jingran

Kuro Games will release Wuthering Waves Version 3.6, “Lamplight in Mirage, Sword’s Resolve in Heart,” on August 20, 2026.

The update returns Rover to Xuanfang Hold, opens two additional parts of Chapter IV, and introduces Qingxiao and Jingran as new limited five-star Resonators.

The Story Moves Deeper into Xuanfang Hold

Chapter IV Act III, Song of the Heart Sword, sends Rover and Suisui toward Fogveil Pavilion in search of new clues.

Their investigation leads them to Qingxiao, a legendary sword immortal who has defended Xuanfang Hold for centuries.

The update also expands the visible scale of the region through enormous cloudship formations moving across its skies.

Traditional architecture, mechanical structures, and floating facilities shape the additional areas shown for Version 3.6.

Act III becomes available after the August 20 maintenance and provides Astrite, progression materials, and additional completion rewards.

Chapter IV Segue: The Nethermancer’s Requiem focuses on Jingran, a young man known as a lantern-carrying bakeneko, and the path that allows him to cross between the living and spiritual realms.

Story progression also unlocks aerial exploration using a sword. Rover can obtain a guqin, perform freely, create original pieces, and share compositions.

Qingxiao Leads Phase I

Qingxiao is a legendary protector of Xuanfang Hold and joins the roster as a five-star Aero Sword Resonator.

Her Featured Resonator Convene begins during Phase I.

Her Resonance Ability is titled Heaven and Earth as the Heart’s Sword. Kuro Games has also revealed her Ascension and Forte materials.

Qingxiao’s signature five-star Sword is Glint of Clouds, distinguished by a pale blade, plum-blossom details, and white petals appearing when it is drawn.

Jingran Arrives in Phase II

Jingran is a Nethermancer who travels between two sides of existence. His past and new fate form the center of the Version 3.6 Segue.

He is a five-star Fusion Broadblade Resonator scheduled for Phase II.

His Resonance Ability is named Netherflame Tribute, with his required Ascension and Forte materials presented before release.

The five-star Broadblade Thousandfold Deliverance accompanies Jingran. Its gold construction and pale-blue flames change through the influence of yin and yang.

Three Resonators Return

Phase I brings back Denia through her Featured Resonator Convene.

Hiyuki returns during Phase II.

Mornye also receives a separate Phase II rerun.

Precise banner opening and closing times will follow the in-game server schedule. No changes to the established Convene or pity rules have been announced.

Resonance Sim Realm

Resonance Sim Realm is a combat event built around a simulated environment and multiple additional abilities.

Players connect and combine available effects to create different configurations during its challenges.

If Dreams Still Reverberate is a featured limited-time cooperative combat event.

Players can join others to complete its scenarios and combat objectives while the event remains active.

A New Tactical Hologram

Tactical Hologram: Myriad Snare – Rustfire Chassis provides a new high-level combat challenge.

The enemy is also connected to a Phantom Echo introduced in the same update.

Seven-Day Login Rewards

Gifts of Drifting Mist distributes rewards according to the number of days players log in during its availability period.

DLSS 4.5 and Quality-of-Life Improvements

The PC edition adds NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Frame Generation, intended to increase frame rates while reducing visual artefacts and motion ghosting.

Kuro Games is also changing part of the underlying development environment across supported platforms to improve operating efficiency. Actual gains may depend on the device.
