Steam Becomes Another Official PC Distribution Route
Epic Seven's Steam page is now live and accepting wishlists with a 2026 release window.
This will not be the game's first native PC release. Smilegate already operates an official STOVE PC client, making Steam an additional distribution route rather than Epic Seven's initial move to desktop.
The storefront lists Epic Seven as a free-to-play RPG with in-app and chance-based purchases.
A New Server Will Open With the Steam Launch
One of the most notable details in the official FAQ is a planned new server when Steam service begins.
That gives newcomers a fresh entry point around the Steam launch. Its name, opening time, reset schedule, and detailed rules have not yet been announced.
Smilegate is also marking the Steam-page launch with activities including a wishlist event, fan-art contest, screenshot event, and a new-server strategy event.
Steam, STOVE PC, and Mobile Remain Connected
The Steam FAQ says players will receive the same gameplay experience across Steam, STOVE PC, and mobile, with cross-play supported between them.
Steam also states that a third-party STOVE account is required and that the account can be linked to Steam.
The Steam system requirements match the current STOVE PC client, while the FAQ states that prices do not differ between platforms.
Full-Frame 2D Animation Remains the Signature
Epic Seven combines turn-based battles with Hero team building, elemental interactions, skill timing, Effectiveness, Effect Resistance, and character synergy.
Its signature presentation is its full-frame 2D animation, with major skills and Ultimates triggering hand-drawn sequences designed to resemble anime action scenes.
Beyond story and PvE content, World Arena offers real-time PvP with a Ban Pick phase that makes drafting part of the battle.
Steam Supports 10 Languages
The storefront lists English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Latin American Spanish, Thai, and Traditional Chinese.
English, Japanese, and Korean receive full audio support, while the remaining languages include interface text and subtitles.
Indonesian is not currently listed.
PC Requirements Match the Existing Client
Minimum requirements are Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i5, 8 GB RAM, GTX 1060, DirectX 11, and 10 GB of storage.
Recommended specifications raise the CPU to an Intel i7, memory to 16 GB, and graphics to a GTX 1660 while retaining the same storage requirement.
Those specifications match Smilegate's official requirements for the existing STOVE PC client.
Why This Matters
1) Epic Seven gains a much broader PC storefront
Steam provides another route for PC users who already keep most of their library within Valve's ecosystem.
2) The launch comes with a fresh server
New players are not only receiving another client option, but also a new-server opening timed around the Steam release.
3) The existing ecosystem remains connected
Cross-play links the Steam version to STOVE PC and mobile instead of building a completely isolated edition.
