Key Visual and Official Announcement

Iruma Trades Demon School for the Mafia World

The spin-off preserves Iruma's instinctive kindness while rebuilding his circumstances around a much harsher setting.

Raised in a crime-filled slum, Iruma encounters Sullivan after the elderly Don of the Babyl mafia organization is critically injured. Saving him changes Iruma's life, and he is eventually raised as Sullivan's grandson while learning what it means to become the family's young boss.

Tatsunoko Production Handles the Animation

The latest update also confirms the anime's principal production team. Keiichiro Kawaguchi directs, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handles series composition, and Kenji Fujisaki serves as character designer.

Tatsunoko Production is responsible for animation, with Yayoi Sekimukai composing the music and Hozumi Goda serving as sound director.

Familiar Cast, Different Roles

Ayumu Murase returns as Iruma alongside Mitsuki Saiga as Opera, Daisuke Ono as Naberius Kalego, Ryohei Kimura as Asmodeus Alice, Ayaka Asai as Valac Clara, and Saori Hayami as Ameri.

The recognizable cast is reconfigured around the spin-off's mafia world rather than Demon School Babyls, giving familiar characters different positions and relationships.

The Key Visual Establishes a Darker Tone

The newly revealed visual places Iruma at the center of six main characters descending a staircase.

Formal clothing, darker lighting, and the tightly arranged composition immediately separate the spin-off from the brighter school atmosphere of the parent series while retaining its comedic foundation.

Why This Matters

1) The premiere date is finally locked in

The anime had previously only been scheduled for January 2027. It now officially begins January 4.

2) Tatsunoko Production is confirmed

The new staff announcement establishes both the animation studio and the primary creative team.

3) Familiar characters are rebuilt for an alternate world

Iruma and his companions remain recognizable, but their relationships now exist inside a mafia setting.
