Super Shout Showdown will enter Steam Early Access on August 7, 2026, in Asian time zones. The online PvP action game is developed and published by Indonesian developer Rezero Studio.

Players write their own incantations and speak them into a microphone to cast magic. Longer chants produce stronger spells, but they also leave the player exposed for more time before the attack activates.

Player-Written Incantations Determine Spell Power

Every spell can be assigned a custom chant. Players may write a dramatic anime-style speech, a short practical command, or a deliberately ridiculous sentence.

The Chuuni Power system rewards longer incantations with stronger results. A player who completes a lengthy chant can unleash a more powerful version of the spell.

The trade-off is casting time. Longer lines take more time to speak and give opponents an opportunity to interrupt the caster before the attack is released.

The Early Access version contains 100 spell variants involving fire, ice, darkness, teleportation, physical strikes, energy projectiles, and ultimate attacks.

A Microphone Is Not Required

Shouting Mode uses voice recognition to detect spoken incantations. More than 15 languages are supported, with additional recognition improvements planned during development.

The game provides full interface text in 13 languages, including English, Indonesian, and Japanese. Cantonese, Malay, Javanese, and Sundanese are also listed as extra languages used specifically for spell casting.

Typing Mode allows players to enter the chant through a keyboard. Tapping Mode replaces speech with timed inputs using buttons, a mouse, or a controller.

Voice also powers the Hit Reaction mechanic. Shouting shortly after receiving damage can recover part of the player's health.

Three Modes Cover Duels, Teams, and 16-Player Chaos

Duel places two spellcasters against each other, with match options requiring one, two, or three eliminations.

Team Battle supports 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 configurations. Teammates can combine spell effects, protect a caster, or interrupt an opponent attempting a long incantation.

Free-for-All brings as many as 16 players into one large map containing interactions, hidden areas, and powerful secret spells.

Players can take spells from defeated opponents in this mode, making positioning and awareness as important as completing an incantation successfully.

Early Access Is Planned for Three to Six Months

Rezero Studio is using Early Access to collect bug reports, balancing feedback, and feature suggestions. Steam Discussions and the official Discord server will serve as its main community channels.

The studio currently expects the period to last approximately three to six months, although the schedule may change as development continues. It does not presently plan to raise the price for version 1.0.

The full release is intended to add spells, explore new modes, improve visuals, expand content, and optimize performance. A detailed roadmap will be published separately.

A free demo remains available for players who want to test the tutorial, casting systems, and limited online matches before purchasing Early Access.

Why This Matters

1) Speaking creates a combat risk

Long chants reward the player with stronger magic while increasing the time in which an enemy can attack or interrupt them.

2) Every player can define their own spell style

Custom wording turns each character into a personal performance rather than forcing everyone to repeat the same recorded line.

3) Alternative controls preserve accessibility

Typing and Tapping Modes retain the casting mechanic for players who cannot or prefer not to use a microphone.

4) Indonesian regional languages are represented

The game supports an Indonesian interface and includes Javanese and Sundanese among its additional spell-recognition options.

Closing

Super Shout Showdown turns anime-style role-playing into an active PvP system by making the player's own words part of combat. Choosing between a fast short command and a stronger extended incantation creates a clear tactical decision.

Steam Early Access begins on August 7, 2026, in Asian regions. Rezero Studio will use that period to expand content, adjust balancing, and build the 1.0 release around community feedback.
