Seven Days Inside a Locked Room

The player awakens inside a room shared only with Menhera-chan. She demands a daily game of Chinchiro, with the player's blood used as the wager.

Survival requires completing seven days. Each session establishes a score target that must be reached before Menhera-chan is satisfied.

Failure reduces the player's blood supply or health. Too many unsuccessful rolls can end the run before the final day.

The rules also change as the week progresses. A build that performs well during the opening sessions may become unreliable once new restrictions or scoring conditions appear.

Cheating Is Part of the Strategy

Menherarium does not force players to accept every dice result. Cheating is permitted when they possess the appropriate item.

Tools can rewrite rolls, provide additional opportunities, restore blood, or reduce the risk of a later session.

New dice faces can also be purchased and installed. Deck construction is therefore based on dice values, special effects, items, and supporting abilities rather than conventional combat cards.

A carefully prepared set improves the chance of producing valuable combinations. Resources remain limited, however, forcing players to decide whether an item should be used immediately or saved for a more dangerous day.

Daily Evaluations Shape the Deck

Menhera-chan evaluates the player's performance after each successful day.

The resulting grade determines how many coins become available for the shop. Its randomized inventory may include:

  • recovery items
  • roll-manipulation tools
  • replacement dice faces
  • packs containing additional choices
  • defensive equipment

Players must choose between improving the consistency of a specific combination, preparing emergency recovery, or preserving resources.

The roguelite structure makes each attempt develop differently. Random rolls remain important, but purchases and item timing can turn an otherwise losing session around.

Yuko Natsuyoshi Voices Menhera-chan

Yuko Natsuyoshi provides the Japanese voice of Menhera-chan.

Her performance moves between affectionate conversation, possessive attention, and direct threats when the player fails to satisfy the daily conditions.

Japanese includes full voice support. The other five languages provide translated interfaces and subtitles, while Indonesian is not currently listed.

Phoenixx has also published a separate video in which Menhera-chan explains the rules of Chinchiro for players unfamiliar with the traditional dice game.

The Steam Edition Receives a Launch Celebration Sale

Menherarium originally launched for PC through Steam on February 18, 2026. A free demo remains available.

To celebrate the Switch announcement and the game's appearance at Tokyo Game Dungeon 13, the Steam edition is discounted by 20% from August 8 through August 14.

The Nintendo eShop page will not be published until August 13. Download size, console-specific functions, and potential launch bonuses have therefore not been detailed.

Visitors to Tokyo Game Dungeon 13 can play the game early on August 8. Tezcatlipoca is also selling limited merchandise at the event.

Why This Matters

1) Deck-building is applied to dice faces

Instead of collecting conventional attack cards, players build around numbers, special dice effects, items, and the probability of creating particular combinations.

2) Cheating is an intended mechanic

Changing a roll is not treated as breaking the game. Cheat items are essential tools for overcoming increasingly unreasonable rules.

3) The wager directly represents survival

Losing does not simply remove points or currency. The player's remaining blood is a resource carried across the seven-day run.

4) The format suits portable play

Its turn-based structure and relatively direct controls make the Nintendo Switch a natural platform for individual sessions.
