Pre-orders Open Alongside the 11-Minute Trailer

The latest announcement schedules pre-orders for August 11 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time or August 12 at 10:00 a.m. Beijing time.

The corresponding Indonesian times are:

Sponsored
  • 9:00 a.m. WIB
  • 10:00 a.m. WITA
  • 11:00 a.m. WIT

Japan will receive the announcement at 11:00 a.m. JST on August 12.

The approximately 20-second video attached to the X announcement is only a teaser. The main new presentation will be an 11-minute trailer released when pre-orders open.

S-GAME says the footage will introduce new story material, characters, combat, and “something unexpected.” The identity of those characters and the nature of the surprise have not been revealed.

S-GAME Says Development Is Complete

S-GAME directly states that development of Phantom Blade Zero is now complete. The update follows the game’s earlier move from September 9 to October 29, 2026.

The announcement does not use the phrase gone gold or confirm that a final master has entered manufacturing. Its status is therefore most accurately described as the studio declaring primary development complete.

Certification, final optimization, bug fixes, and a possible day-one update can still continue before release. S-GAME has not detailed its remaining post-production work.

The previous 50-day delay was intended to provide time for upgraded character models, reworked environments, and stronger visual quality on systems running without ray tracing.

S-GAME chose to finish those improvements before launch rather than move all of them into post-release patches.

Launching October 29 on PS5 and PC

The official Phantom Blade Zero website and PlayStation Store list October 29, 2026 as the release date. The game will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

PlayStation lists the worldwide launch time as October 29 at 2:00 a.m. UTC. That converts to:

  • October 29 at 9:00 a.m. WIB
  • October 29 at 10:00 a.m. WITA
  • October 29 at 11:00 a.m. WIT and JST
  • October 28 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time

This time-zone difference explains why some Steam and American store pages display October 28 while the official website and Asian stores show October 29.

The PS5 edition supports DualSense vibration and trigger effects alongside Game Help. The PC listing currently confirms 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11, but does not provide complete processor, memory, graphics, or storage requirements.

Steam also lists Denuvo as third-party DRM. Steam Deck compatibility and Epic Games Store-specific functions have not been announced.

Soul Has Only 66 Days Left to Live

The story follows Soul, an elite assassin who once served a powerful organization called The Order.

Soul is framed for the death of his master and suffers a devastating heart injury while being hunted by his former comrades.

A mysterious healer saves him from immediate death, but the improvised treatment leaves him with only 66 days to live. He must use that time to identify the person who framed him and expose a conspiracy threatening the martial world.

His journey involves shifting loyalties, power struggles, memories of the past, bodily augmentation, and beings that are no longer entirely human.

The upcoming trailer will introduce more story content, although S-GAME has not identified which part of Soul’s journey will be shown.

More Than 30 Weapons and 20 Phantom Edges

Phantom Blade Zero includes more than 30 usable weapons. They differ not only in appearance but also in range, speed, movement, and combat techniques.

Players can combine more than 20 Phantom Edges to build a preferred fighting style. Certain weapons and signature techniques can be obtained by defeating powerful enemies.

The combat takes inspiration from the choreography of Hong Kong action cinema. Martial-arts movements were captured through motion capture and recreated using Unreal Engine 5.

S-GAME calls its mixture of wuxia culture, machinery, weapons, and technology Kungfupunk. Traditional swordsmen, martial codes, and rival factions coexist with mechanical devices and folk-horror imagery.

Combat emphasizes speed, attack chains, parries, dodges, weapon switching, and boss battles. Although often compared with Soulslike games, S-GAME describes it as a wuxia action RPG following its own design approach.

The 11-Minute Trailer Is Not Necessarily the Promised Deep Dive

When S-GAME announced the revised release date in June 2026, it outlined two separate presentations.

The first was a new trailer accompanying the launch of pre-orders. That presentation has now been confirmed as the 11-minute trailer arriving in August.

The second was a dedicated State of Play expected to run approximately 15–20 minutes. It was planned to examine the world, combat, exploration, and character-progression systems in greater detail.

The latest announcement does not date that dedicated presentation. The 11-minute trailer should therefore not automatically be treated as a replacement for the previously announced deep dive.

Further State of Play information may follow after pre-orders open, matching the order previously described by S-GAME.

Why This Matters

1) Primary development has reached an important milestone

S-GAME has moved beyond saying that the project is in its final stages and now states that development is complete.

2) The new footage is longer than a conventional teaser

Eleven minutes provides enough room to introduce characters, narrative developments, and meaningful combat variety.

3) Edition and pricing details should arrive soon

Opening pre-orders will likely reveal product editions, bonuses, regional prices, and other information currently missing from the store pages.

4) A separate presentation may still be coming

Beyond the pre-order trailer, S-GAME previously promised a dedicated gameplay presentation focused on its systems and progression.
